Ingredients:

1 kg mutton or lamb meat, cut into chunks

2 large onions, chopped

4-5 cloves of garlic, minced

2 inches of ginger, grated

2-3 green chilies, chopped

2-3 tomatoes, chopped

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

1/2 cup of yogurt

Salt to taste

Oil for cooking

Water as needed

Instructions:

 

Heat oil in a huge pot or strain cooker. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add the onions, garlic, and ginger to the pot and sauté until the onions are translucent.

Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies to the pot and cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes are soft.

Add the mutton or lamb chunks to the pot and cook for a few minutes until the meat is browned on all sides.

Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pot and mix well.
